I promised pictures of Audie's pinewood derby car, and here they are...
Tim helped him pick a design, and I drew it on the block. Then he and Audie cut and sanded the car and painted it with flat black paint. Then Audie and I taped off the windows and coated it with 2 layers of chameleon paint.
From different angles it looks blue, purple, pink, greenish, etc. Finally, we taped off everything except the racing stripes (painted in chrome) and finished with a clear coat or two.
I don't think he cares if he wins or not (which is kind of the point), but he's really proud of his car. I think it looks awesome!
